The Verne Drive-In Theater was constructed in the early 1960s by Ken Sargent. It was sold in 1966 to Walter Deutsch, who built a house next to the ticket booth. In 1983, Deutsch sold the drive-in theater, and it was replaced by the Burmeister family. The screen is 32 feet high and 72 feet wide, and is made from corrugated tin.
